GIRLS EXPLORING ENGINEERING (GEE)

Science, technology, engineering and mathematics workers drive our nation’s innovation and competitiveness. However, the U.S. is lacking in full participation in STEM education and vocational pursuits as underserved populations, and most notably women, are being left behind.

Girls Exploring Engineering (GEE) program, Fairleigh Dickinson University’s new middle school initiative, harnesses and nurtures curiosity that girls have when they are young and makes STEM education accessible and engaging. The program will emphasize that engineering is about creativity, teamwork, and having a positive impact on society through the use of math and science, opening up the girls’ minds to incredible career choices. The program strives to close the engineering education and career gap to help generate prosperity.
